Travis Kelce Wins PEOPLE Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Cat Dad’ Title, and Taylor Swift Fans Are Taking Credit

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has earned another headline-making honor, and this time, his connection to Taylor Swift has made the story even more entertaining.

Kelce was voted PEOPLE magazine’s 2026 ‘Sexiest Cat Dad’ in the publication’s annual Sexiest Man Alive Readers’ Choice Poll. While the NFL star did not win the magazine’s overall ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ title, his latest recognition has given fans another reason to celebrate the couple’s relationship.

According to reports, PEOPLE readers cast more than 250,000 votes across 14 categories in this year’s poll. Kelce emerged victorious in the cat-dad category, beating fellow nominees including actor Dolph Lundgren, musician MGK and celebrity chef Paul Hollywood.

The playful award has a special connection to Swift, who is famously fond of cats. By marrying the pop superstar, Kelce became a stepdad to her three beloved cats: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.

The result has sparked plenty of amusement among fans, with Swifties joking that the singer deserves some credit for helping her husband earn the unusual title. After all, Kelce’s new role as a cat dad comes with being part of one of the most talked-about celebrity couples in the world.

Beyond the playful recognition, Kelce and Swift continue to attract attention from fans who enjoy seeing their lives intersect across music, sports and everyday moments. Swift has frequently supported Kelce at Kansas City Chiefs games, while the football star has publicly celebrated his wife’s career.

Although the award is a lighthearted readers’ choice honor rather than PEOPLE’s main ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ title, it adds another memorable moment to Kelce’s increasingly high-profile life outside football.
