Don’t call taylor swift a badluck charm, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Defeat the Patriots with Taylor Swift and scott in Attendance
Don’t call Taylor Swift a bad luck charm.
Her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team the Kansas City Chiefs won their game against the New England Patriots on Sunday as she sat in a suite in Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., cheering him on.
The Chiefs clinched a 27-17 win, bolstering their record to 9-5 and ending their small losing streak. The team entered Sunday’s game hungry for a victory after losing back-to-back contests to the Green Bay Packers and the Buffalo Bills.
While the game got off to a bit of a rocky start for Kelce’s team — which included quarterback Patrick Mahomes getting sacked on their third drive — momentum soon turned in the Chiefs’ favor.
Swift, 34, watched the on-field action from a stadium box, alongside her dad, Scott Swift. The two were decked out in Chiefs gear, showing off their team spirit. Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, also joined the pair in the box.
Swift was also in attendance at last week’s game at the Chiefs’ home stadium in Kansas City when Kelce, 34, and his team lost to the Bills 20-17.
The “Lover” singer’s presence at Kelce’s football games has sparked a new level of frenzy and anticipation around the Chiefs, Kelce’s performance and Swift’s choice of gameday attire.
However, Swift recently told Time she’s not paying attention to anyone’s feelings about her while she’s watching her beau play.
“I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she said, mentioning her screen time during games. “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
It’s unclear how Swift feels about former NFL star and current commentator Tony Romo mistakenly skipping ahead in her and Kelce’s love story.
“As you see, Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience,” Romo said before he caught his blunder and quickly added, “Er, I’m sorry. Girlfriend!”
