Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce prepare for the strangest day in Los Angeles: so close but so far away
Both will be in the same city but unable to see each other, but why?
It will be a strange encounter in the lives of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as both will head to Los Angeles at the same time but will be unable to see each other due to their own work commitments.
We know that on Sunday both will be in the same city, but they will hardly be able to see each other. She at the Golden Globes, where she is nominated for her film based on her Eras Tour, and he is at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers
Kelce is obligated to be with the Chiefs against the Chargers as the NFL side bids to rescue their season after losing four times in six games from their bye week, although they just about managed to win the AFC West. On the back of their divisional win, Kelce probably won’t play but will travel with the team.
Whilst Swift will be attending the film and television gala for her 2023 film based on her concert that has broken records for the most money earned by a film based on a concert or tour.
It’s unclear whether after the game Kelce would attend the Globes after-party with Swift or return with his team to Kansas, which is the norm, as they focus on the playoffs the following week.
What time is the Golden Globes?
The Golden Globes are the second most prominent award in the separated categories of film and television, being superseded by only the Oscars (film) and Emmys (TV), but that does mean it’s a highly prestigious award.
Many victors of the award find their careers catapulted forwards thanks to the respect and attention generated and there are dozens of movies and shows bidding to beat the others.
The Golden Globes Awards can be watched from 20:00 ET or 17:00 PT on January 7, and will be aired by CBS. It can be watched online via Paramount+.
What time do the Chiefs play?
The Chiefs, having won the AFC West, can afford to rest their key players in preparation for the NFL postseason as they head out to the LA Chargers for the final game of the regular season.
But the head coach, Andy Reid, is faced with a dilemma. He can give his stars a break to recharge and go again or he can play them as the Chiefs bid to solve their receiver problem that has seen Patrick Mahomes struggle to find targets on basically everyone except Rashee Rice.
Find out what they choose to do at 16:45 ET or 13:45 PT on January 7.
