Jason Kelce got wife Kylie a necklace from her favorite jewelry store for Christmas, as well as one more surprising gift.
The Philadelphia Eagles center and brother Travis recorded a special episode of their hit New Heights podcast featuring their family members.
After mom Donna and dad Ed took to the mic, it was the turn of Kylie to join the show after fans went wild for her appearance earlier this year.
Asked by Travis what Jason got her for Christmas, Kylie revealed she got two gifts from her husband – including a necklace from her favorite store.
She said: ‘He did. More than one, Trav. He got me one of the necklaces I’m wearing now.’
Travis interrupted: ‘Not only is he sexy Batman, he’s sexy Santa’, referring to Jason’s nickname after he donned a Batman mask during a game.
‘Yes he is,’ Kylie agreed. ‘It’s a little necklace from my favorite jewelry store and he also got me a Transformer. He got me Optimus Prime. I’m very excited about it.’
However the toy, which is controlled by the user’s voice, has not gone down very well with their three daughters Wyatt, Elliotte and Bennett.
‘The kids are terrified of it,’ said Jason.
Kylie continued: ‘We had it on for approximately 30 seconds and there were just absolute screams of terror and we had to immediately turn it off.
‘It’s been in the box and every time they come downstairs and see the box, they’re like “it’s in the box” and “you’re not going to turn on the robot” and I’m like “no, I’m not going to turn on the robot”. Every single time.’
Asked to explain how they celebrated Christmas this year, given Jason and the Eagles played on December 25, Kylie said: ‘Our plan up until Saturday (December 23) was to do Christmas completely on the 26th.
‘So to basically pretend that it wasn’t happening on the 25th and then suddenly that’s Christmas Eve and the following morning after the game Jason would be home for the full day we would get to do the full morning and then into Christmas dinner.
‘We lucked out and his schedule allowed him to be home Monday morning so we were able to do gifts Monday morning and then dinner on the 26th because obviously we were a little busy.
‘You know, he likes to lollygag so we were at the stadium until 10pm. He was quaffing his beard, literally just moseying.’
Kylie and Jason’s mom were in attendance at the Eagles’ Christmas Day game, which saw them beat the New York Giants 33-25.
