The Chiefs’ unexpected loss against the Packers 27-19 has caused them to face some flak lately. Patrick Mahomes shed light on this while highlighting the role of Andy Reid.
In a recent press conference, a reporter acknowledged the importance of a win and asked Mahomes, “How everyone will love you again if you’re able to defeat the Bills?” He further asked about Mahomes’ thinking pattern: “How early do you learn, like you can’t really pay any attention to the reaction on a week-by-week basis?”
Mahomes quickly replied and gave due credit to Reid by saying, “Yeah, I think I learned from coach Reid.” He explained his mindset further: “He’s never too high, never too low.” He praised Reid’s capabilities as he made them focus on the task at hand so that the team could play the best football.
He then explained how he deals with everybody. “My mindset is no matter if we win and everybody’s loving us or if we lose and everybody’s kind of down on us. You just got to focus on how can I get myself better and prepare for the next game.” We all know where his focus is now.

The Chiefs will face the Bills on their home turf. The Bills are recovering from their heart-wrenching loss against the Eagles 37-34. After healing their scars in their bye week, Josh Allen & Co. are ready to stop the Chiefs’ advances. With Josh Allen in the best form of his career, it will be interesting to see how Patrick Mahomes will deal with him.
The Chiefs can’t afford to lose this one. If they do so, it will be their fifth loss, putting the team in a precarious position. Patrick Mahomes and HC Andy Reid must keep the team on their toes for this battle. The game will take place at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday.
