Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is quite the stud in the NFL. Since becoming the team’s starting QB, he’s led the team to five consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and helped them clinch two Super Bowl victories. That said, it’s not hard to see why many consider him one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Who are Patrick Mahomes’s parents?
Patrick Mahomes II was born on Sept. 17, 1995, to parents Pat Mahomes and Randi Martin. His father is Black and his mother is white, making him biracial. The couple reportedly divorced when Patrick was just 11 years old — but for the sake of their son, they’ve remained civil and are able to watch his football games amicably.

Patrick’s father, Pat Mahomes Sr., was a professional athlete as well. He is a former MLB pitcher who played for quite a few teams, including the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, from 1992 until 2003.

Well, there you have it: Patrick was certainly born with athletic genes and grew up around professional sports, thanks to his dad. Although he didn’t choose to take the pro baseball route, Patrick did play baseball at Texas Tech University for a few years. However, he opted to pursue a professional football career and was drafted by the Chiefs in 2017.

“It’s truly been a blessing,” she explained. “I tell him that all the time. [It’s] a blessing that, you know, little boys dream about. He’s gotten to actually live a dream. So, you know, we take it — I take it one day at a time and try to enjoy it. It is a little overwhelming.”

Patrick has built his own adorable family with his wife Brittany Mahomes and their two little kids, daughter Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born in late November 2022.

Brittany is a certified personal trainer and owner of Brittany Lynne Fitness, and she and Patrick are two of the co-owners of the Kansas City Current, a professional women’s soccer team in the National Women’s Soccer League.
