Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caught in rare unguarded moment at LA art event
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry looked every bit the happy, loving couple as they settle into showbusiness life in Hollywood.
Worlds away from the Royal Family visits happening in the UK over Easter, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex helped launch a star-studded, exclusive art exhibition in Los Angeles, attended by celebrities, held at Sofi Stadium in Hollywood Park.
Images uploaded to Instagram show the former working royals at the bash for The Kinsey African American Art and History Collection. The Kinsley family shared snaps from the night, showing Meghan and Harry together, while mingling with guests.
Harry and Meghan looked in their element as they posed with various figures from the industry and in solo shots. Guests at the event got a private tour of the exhibit, which was followed by a conversation with Bernard, Shirley and Khalil Kinsley and hosted by Christine Messineo, Director of Frieze LA and NY.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland was also in attendance, posing alongside Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles. The two celebrity mums were seen rubbing shoulders with several influential figures at the Duke and Duchess’ elite gathering.
Pictures from the event were shared to the museum’s Instagram page as they proudly gushed over the exhibition, as well as on Meghan and Harry’s glossy Sussex.com website.
Both Doria and Tina looked delighted to be in attendance as they posed for the camera, with Doria wearing a fluffy cream cashmere cardigan, while Tina embodied her daughter’s glamorous style in a black satin blouse teamed with a thick leather waist belt with a chunky gold buckle, and a coordinating black and gold quilted crossbody bag.
The event took place on March 21st and was hosted in collaboration with Meghan and Harry’s charity foundation Archewell. The Kinsey Foundation shared: “The Kinsey family was honored to partner with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to host an event on March 21st at the Kinsey Collection Exhibition at Sofi Stadium at Hollywood Park.
“The collection’s Chief Curator Khalil Kinsey toured the Duke and Duchess, and an array of industry leaders around the exhibition which was followed by a conversation with Bernard, Shirley and Khalil, moderated by Christine Messineo, Director of Frieze LA and NY.
“The group discussed the history and significance of Black art and how various communities can work together to preserve this vital piece of American history. The evening was brought together through a partnership between The Archewell Foundation and The Bernard and Shirley Kinsey Foundation for Arts and Education.”
Meghan and Harry were pictured hugging their co-hosts Bernard and Shirley Kinsley, as well as smiling while seated together listening to a talk on the history of black art. Meanwhile, Doria and Tina delighted fans with their appearance who rushed to comment on the post and heap their praise on the “mothers of two iconic women.”
One wrote: “Lovely that Beyoncé’s mother came to support Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry host a special event.” A second said: “The coolest Grandmothers committee. Like hello! Tina Knowles and Doria Ragland.” A third excitedly shared: “We got a picture of Doria Ragland and Tina Knowles, the mothers of mothers!”
