Machine Gun Kelly Offers Travis Kelce $500K to Play for Cleveland Browns Instead of Kansas City Chiefs

“Just know my offer is real, and it’s on the table,” said MGK on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast

Machine Gun Kelly wants his friend Travis Kelce to come home to Cleveland, Ohio.

On Wednesday’s episode of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, MGK called in and personally offered the Kansas City Chiefs tight end $500,000 in cash to leave his current team and play football for the Cleveland Browns.

“I’m sure you get asked this question behind closed doors a lot, but I would be remiss — due to the nature of our friendship and just as a Clevelander — if I did not insert this question personally,” said the Cleveland-raised punk-rocker, 33, prefacing his question.

MGK then made the big offer, which also includes donations to their alma maters.

“I will give you $500,000 cash upon arrival just for shopping or whatever you want, as well as matching that same amount as a donation to both of our high schools, both Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, as well as everyday breakfast and coffee delivery from my restaurant if you would just come home and put on these colors right here,” he said, holding up dark brown, orange and white Cleveland Browns merchandise.

Travis, 34, admitted he’s previously thought about wanting to play for his hometown team. “You know that was the original dream, dog. You know that was the dream,” he said.

“Come on home, Trav,” replied MGK — who performed at Travis’ 2023 Kelce Jam music festival in Kansas City earlier this year.

“Hey, I’ll tell you what, man. That is an intriguing offer,” said Travis, considering the option before expressing his loyalty to the Chiefs. “It is an intriguing offer because you know how much we love the east side of Cleveland, the Heights, Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights, you already know brother. I’m not gonna lie — situation’s really good in Kansas City.”

The NFL star recalled crying to a coach upon getting drafted to the Chiefs in 2013, declaring on the podcast, “It was one of my dreams to play for the Browns.”

“There is no decision that needs to be made right now,” said the Grammy-nominated musician, “but just know my offer is real, and it’s on the table.”

MGK even offered to move his music career to Cleveland. “I’ll make beats in the locker room every day. I’ll set up a studio in the closet if that’s what needs to happen to make Travis come home,” he said.

Travis then expressed interest. “I’ll tell you what, I’ll consider it if Jason considers it too though. I know at one point it was the Browns for him too,” he said.
If the siblings were to accept the deal, however, MGK said they have to “split the $500k.”

“Completely understand,” quipped Jason. “$500k for Travis — as long as I get the coffee.”
