Light up:One Guy Dying Isn’t Going to Ruin the Rest of My Life’
One woman is demonstrating her feelings about the importance of moving on despite losing a loved one.
In a now-viral TikTok video with more than 134,000 views, user named @coach_holly_ responds to a comment questioning her behavior following her husband’s recent death. “Your husband just died, why are you acting like everything is fine?” the comment reads, which Holly overlays on a video of herself baking a cake with her children.
In earlier videos, the mother of two shared that her husband died five months ago after being together for 9 years.
“Because he’s not my God, because one guy dying isn’t going to ruin the rest of my life,” Holly, 28, says in a voiceover of the video of her and her kids. “One bad thing isn’t going to ruin you either. What has happened that’s led you to think that everything is feeling bad and dark and depression. You got to fix it, you got to root it out. You got to start walking toward something better.”
She continues, “Stop living in the past, stop living in your head and start walking toward a better future and a better tomorrow because I promise you, if you will start looking forward to something and create a reason to wake up every day beyond just survival you will start to feel feelings of happiness and joy again.”
