Kate Middleton will be doing her best to shield her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from her and King Charles’s health battles and allow the King to continue to be a “fun grandpa” to his grandchildren, a royal expert has said.

They have a strong bond and often speak highly of each other. This relationship will be a source of support during these tough times, along with the joy brought by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

 

 

 

This special bond between the King, his daughter-in-law and his grandchildren is crucial now, says former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond. Jennie told OK!: “I noticed in the King’s statement of support after Kate’s broadcast he said he was in the ‘closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law’. I was struck by the fact that he didn’t say close, but closest.”
