Fans mock Patrick Mahomes after Chiefs star's old tweet resurfaces

The Kansas City Chiefs, under Patrick Mahomes’ leadership, are preparing for another playoff push, having secured their sixth consecutive division title. However, amidst the anticipation, an old tweet from Mahomes has resurfaced, adding a touch of nostalgia to the narrative.

The tweet in question reveals a teenage Mahomes expressing excitement about finally being able to watch R-rated movies after turning 17.

“Turning 17 tomorrow!!! Pretty pointless except I get to go to rated r movies! #alreadydidthough,” Mahomes wrote.

Now, at 28, Mahomes has long since transcended the realm of adolescent restrictions, establishing himself as a record-breaking quarterback and a legendary figure in the NFL.

“GET THIS THUG OUT OF THE LEAGUE!! ILLEGALLY WATCHED RATED R MOVIES SMH! NO PLACE FOR THIS IN OUR BEAUTIFUL LEAGUE!” a fan jokingly wrote.

Another added: “How can I live in a world where the reigning mvp went to adult movies underage???”

Struggling with the Chiefs
Despite Mahomes’ illustrious career, this season has seen a dip in his performance compared to previous stellar seasons. While the Chiefs maintain their position atop the AFC West, Mahomes himself acknowledges that he is his only benchmark.

The lack of consistency in his plays is apparent, with uncharacteristic mistakes such as missing open receivers and misjudging passing progressions.

The disappointment extends beyond Mahomes to the team’s overall performance. In a season marked by unmet expectations, tight end Travis Kelce stands out as the leading receiver, emphasizing the team’s struggles to establish a potent wide receiver presence
