Could a Travis Kelce MOVIE be in the works? Chiefs star’s managers ‘have shared film scripts’ about the NFL star’s meteoric rise from University of Cincinnati to two-time Super Bowl winner (and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend!)
Travis Kelce’s rapid rise to stardom will not be slowing down any time soon, even if he is approaching the twilight of his football career at the age of 34.
According to The New York Times, Kelce’s managers have a carefully curated plan to make him globally famous and it could even include a film about the two-time Super Bowl winner and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.
Kelce’s business managers, the brothers Andree and Aaron Eanes, have been interviewed by NYT on their plan to build Kelce’s profile beyond football – and there is thought that he could one day swap Kansas City for Hollywood.
The publication says ‘film scripts have been passed around’ and that game shows are also under consideration.
Kelce signed with entertainment agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency) back in May and had a significant enough footprint off the field before he and Swift went public in September.
The Chiefs tight end and his brother Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, dominated the build-up to the Super Bowl as they were on opposing teams for the NFL’s showpiece game.
Together, he and Jason also host their New Heights podcast which has grown more and more popular by the week where they discuss the NFL and their lives away from the sport.
In a recent episode, Travis and Jason even discussed doing live shows overseas in Britain and Australia after the brothers learned they have the two biggest-selling NFL jerseys in the UK.
The brothers started their football careers playing for the Cincinnati Bearcats together before both making the big step to the NFL.
Kelce has also appeared in a string of commercials, displaying his own acting talent, for brands such as Pfizer and Campbells soup.
The Wall Street Journal reported in December that as of Dec, 11 in the NFL season, Kelce had appeared in a huge total of 375 commercials around the games themselves.
But, of course, nothing has contributed Kelce’s profile rising more than dating Swift – arguably the most famous person in the world at present.
Reports last week said Kelce plans to travel with her in Europe next summer, when she has four months of dates in the continent for her Eras Tour.
Kelce has apparently booked trips to Italian vineyards and tables at some of Europe’s finest restaurants for himself and Swift when she has days off between dates.
In the meantime though, Kelce’s focus will be on football. The Chiefs round out the regular season against the Chargers in Los Angeles this weekend before attention turns firmly to the playoffs.
In an interview with Wall Street Journal in November, Kelce admitted he considers retiring more than he usually admits due to the impact on his body of playing such a physical game.
But as he closes in on another 1,000-yard season for the Chiefs, it is unlikely that day will come just yet, even if his attention to life off the field and after football has understandably increased.
