despite patrick mahomes going through worst season of his career, his wife brittany promises to be there through the thick and thin
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes got some words of support from his wife Brittany after his team’s heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.
The NFL star, 28, was visibly disappointed following the 21-17 defeat, and during a postgame interview Patrick said the Chiefs “just have to get better in the second half” as they continue to struggle after halftime.
On Tuesday, Brittany, 28, showed her support for Patrick never waivers in a sweet tribute following the loss.
“My boo thang, I love you,” the mother of two wrote in an Instagram Story, which included a photo of her and Patrick’s traditional pregame sideline kiss from the Monday Night Football matchup.
“I am always proud of you,” she added to the story.
Brittany posted an additional photo of her and Patrick’s sweet embrace before kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium.
The KC Current owner wore a very sporty, very pro-Chiefs outfit for the game, including white pants featuring red patches and emblems with her husband’s number, a fitted white sweater top and a puffy white jacket. She added a pop of color to the nearly all-white look with a mustard Chanel flapbag.
Brittany is often spotted cheering on Patrick in the stands, though her game-day attendance recently garnered extra attention thanks to Taylor Swift’s relationship with Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.
Since Swift began dating Kelce in September, Brittany and Swift have seemingly become fast friends.
Earlier this month, Brittany was spotted enjoying a girls’ night out with Swift.
On Nov. 5, as the Chiefs faced the Dolphins in Germany, Swift invited wives and girlfriends of the team to a viewing party at her New York City apartment. After the Chiefs brought home a victory, the group celebrated in Manhattan.
When she’s not hanging with her A-list girl group or spending time with Patrick, daughter Sterling Skye, 2, and son Bronze, 11 months, Brittany serves as an owner for Kansas City’s women’s soccer team, the Current.
Michelle Cooper, a forward for the KC Current, recently told PEOPLE that Brittany is “an awesome” and “very involved” owner for the team.
