Just in:Cris Cyborg compares Kayla Harrison to a cow as she reignites hostile feud in bizarre skit
Cyborg and Harrison were linked to a potential superfight numerous times in their careers. After Cyborg defeated Sinead Kavanagh at Bellator 271, she teased a potential fight with Harrison, during the latter’s free agency.
Harrison went on to re-sign with the PFL before the league purchased Bellator last year. Fight talks were officially eradicated after Harrison signed with the UFC earlier this year, making her promotional debut at UFC 300.
Cyborg, a former UFC titleholder, remains in pursuit of a potential bout against Harrison. Despite her status under the PFL/Bellator banner, her bad blood with Harrison remains as tense as ever.
Cyborg took things up a notch when she shared a social media skit promoting her OnlyFans page this weekend.
In the below skit, Cyborg can be seen calling for ‘Kayla’ to ‘come home’ in an area surrounded by trees and greenery. The only problem? ‘Kayla’ in the skit took the form of a cow, which Cyborg eventually found towards the end of the video.
Cyborg donned her PFL Super Fight belt in the video, which she won over Larissa Pacheco last month. It’s uncertain when she’ll defend her Bellator women’s featherweight title.
As of this writing, Harrison hasn’t responded to Cyborg’s latest taunts.
Harrison is nearing a UFC bantamweight title shot after two dominant wins in her promotional tenure. She won her UFC debut at UFC 300 over former champion Holly Holm, before outpointing Ketlen Vieira in her UFC 307 return.
Harrison is likely next for newly-minted UFC bantamweight champion Julianna Peña. The two sides traded barbs leading up to UFC 307 and Harrison is the likely next contender for the title.
Cyborg hasn’t lost since losing the UFC women’s featherweight title to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232. She’s unbeaten in her Bellator tenure, winning the Bellator women’s featherweight belt by finishing Julia Budd at Bellator 238.
Cyborg and Harrison have blamed each other for the fight never coming to fruition after three years of trying. Harrison, after her UFC signing, refuses to address Cyborg when asked about her during media availability.
Cyborg’s latest attempt to coerce Harrison into a fight likely won’t work out, but their feud remains one of the biggest topics of women’s MMA after their three-year history.
