Breaking news:Justin Bieber’s heart-wrenching song sees spike in sales after P Diddy arrest drama

Justin Bieber has seen a spike in sales for his hit track Lonely, which some fans have suggested is linked to his previous friendship with Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.

The 30-year-old pop star released the song in 2021 and the lyrics tell the story of the dark side of child fame. One lyric from Lonely reads: “Everybody saw me sick/ And it felt like no one gave a s—/ They criticized the things I did as an idiot kid.”

Elsewhere, the song says: “What if you had it all/ And it felt like nobody to call? Maybe then you’d know me/ ‘Cause I’ve had everything/ But no one’s listening/ And that’s just lonely.”

Lonely has now had a “1,400% increase in pure purchases in the span of just a few days,” according to Forbes. A week before, there was less than 100 copies of the track sold.

The huge spike in sales comes after some fans started questioning the songs lyrics and became convinced it’s about Diddy. Taking to X, one person wrote: “I can’t listen to ‘So Lonely’ without tearing up. Remember how the tabloids mocked Justin Bieber for his behavior when he was young? He was just trapped and trying to get out of the prison diddy and fame and fortune created for him.”

Another said: “In light of recent accusations against Diddy, it’s heartbreaking to remember that Justin was only 15 when he went through his own struggles with him. This song speaks to the truth so many young people in the industry face.”

Justin was 15 when he was signed to Usher’s record label and mentored by P Diddy. He’s believed to be “deeply disturbed” by the allegations made against the Bad Boy Records founder.

P Diddy is being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits trial on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty in court.

Combs is also facing the possibility of new civil lawsuits. Attorney Tony Buzbee said 120 people are planning to sue Diddy, alleging the rapper exploited them and sexually abused them.

Diddy has denied the new allegations against him. His attorney, Erica Wolff, said in a statement: “As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”

She continued: “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
