Dancehall legend Sean Paul has put his signature spin on the iconic Showtime Riddim with the release of his new single “Bring It” through his label Dutty Rock Productions.

The Grammy-winning artiste has long admired the classic dancehall beat, originally crafted by legendary producer Dave Kelly in 1997. Known for defining hits like Shaggy and Rayvon’s “Bashment Party” and Spragga Benz’s “We No Like,” the Showtime Riddim has stood the test of time, recently being hailed as one of the “25 Riddims That Defined Jamaican Music” by Rolling Stone.

In a 2022 interview with Vibe Magazine, Sean Paul expressed his desire to voice the beloved riddim, and now his wish has come to fruition with the release of “Bring It.” The track pays homage to the golden era of 90s dancehall while infusing it with a modern, high-energy flair.

“Bring It” reflects the innovative style and enduring influence of producer Dave Kelly, whose riddims have left an indelible mark on the dancehall scene. Sean Paul’s fusion of nostalgic vibes and contemporary beats promises to create a thrilling musical experience for fans.

The release of “Bring It” solidifies Sean Paul’s status as a prominent figure in the global dancehall arena. The artist’s impressive track record of successful collaborations with the likes of Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Karol G, and Sia has cemented his reputation as a dancehall icon.

With “Bring It,” Sean Paul invites audiences to hit the dance floor and celebrate the timeless allure of dancehall music, ushering in a new chapter for the classic Showtime Riddim.
