Exclusive: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift disclose some conversation they want to discuss with Leo Messi after the match in Inter Miami in Kansas City
The Kansas City Chiefs’ home, the Arrowhead Stadium is welcoming Kansas City’s MLS team- Sporting KC after a 28-year hiatus. The Sporting KC team could not have asked for a better homecoming, as they host Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. KC’s minority owner Patrick Mahomes is already excited to link up with the reigning World Champion. If Mahomes will be courtside this Saturday to watch his team take on Inter Miami, can Travis Kelce be far behind? And what fun is an outing for Kelce without Taylor Swift?
As per the Instagram page USMNTonly, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will take to the Arrowhead on Saturday to watch Leo Messi in action. “We could see Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium to see Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Inter Miami take on Sporting KC,” the page captioned their post. Besides, the page has also posted a clip of an MLS talk show, where a host asks if somebody thinks Swift and Kelce will be in attendance at Arrowhead. We could see former USMNT star Taylor Twellman raising his hand implying the power couple will take to the Arrowhead on Saturday. “@TaylorTwellman looks like he knows something,” USMNTonly added in their caption.
A Patrick Mahomes-Lionel Messi link-up is more than enough to send shockwaves across the American sporting verse. Kelce could surely fuel the frenzy. But a Taylor Swift-Messi link-up might be the biggest crossover we will see in recent times. Last year, both Swift and the 2022 World Champion catapulted American sports like no other. Thanks to Swift’s attendance, the ticket sales soared to all-time highs for the Chiefs’ games. Meanwhile, every other Inter Miami game was an instant sell-out, thanks to the 8x Ballon d’Or winner.
When Lionel Messi and Taylor Swift missed meeting each other, despite being so close
Last year, Taylor Swift performed in Argentina as a part of her ‘Eras Tour.’ The Labyrinth singer had the Argentina team change their venue for a Uruguay match to make space for her concert. During that time, Lionel Messi arrived in Argentina just moments after Swift’s arrival. Regardless, the Argentine skipper got busy with national team action and did not attend the pop icon’s concert.
Then again, the duo plied their trade just a few miles apart in Tokyo this year. Taylor Swift performed at the Tokyo Dome as a part of her four-day tour. Meanwhile, in a 10-minute driving distance, La Pulga took to the Japan National Stadium to play in the Inter Miami-Vissel Kobe tie. But seemingly, now is the time for the two icons to compensate for the previously missed chances.
