Just in: Meghan Markle could return to the UK next month alongside Prince Harry
Meghan Markle has the chance of returning to the UK as soon as next month.
Meghan Markle “is done” with the UK as her potential return has been ruled out by a royal expert.
Prince Harry is set to return to his home country next month to attend the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games – a multi-sport event held for wounded servicemen and women.
The Games was founded by the Duke in 2024.
Speculation over whether Meghan will return to the UK alongside her husband has been mounting.
But royal historian Marlene Koenig told GB News has claimed that the Duchess is very unlikely to return.
She said: “I don’t think Meghan will be visiting the UK anytime soon.
“I think she’s done with that. Unless there’s something major like a funeral. But Harry and Meghan’s life is in the US.”
Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties and moved to the US in 2020.
The Duchess has since returned to the UK but only on rare occasions including Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022.
She did not return for King Charles’ Coronation, which was held on May 6, 2023.
Prince Harry, however, did return to the UK to attend his father’s coronation.
He has also made a few solo appearances for his various court cases against the British media.
After hearing about the King’s cancer diagnosis in February, Harry also made a whistle-stop visit to London to see his father.
