REPORT: Three Chiefs fan were found frozen to death in their friend’s backyard. They were watching the Chiefs-Chargers season finale….find out what happens
The fans had frozen to death in the cold
A shocking story has emerged from Missouri where three Kansas City Chiefs fans were found frozen to death in the backyard of a friend’s house who says he has no knowledge of them being there.
The defendant’s lawyer has said that the tragedy was news to the homeowner, despite the bodies being found two days after the fans had come round to watch a Chiefs game.
The Kansas City Police Department has already told Fox News that they do not think there was any foul play involved in the deaths of 38-year-old Ricky Johnson, 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney and 37-year-old David Harrington.
The game in question was on January 7, when the Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers. As per the police announcement, the men’s bodies were discovered at 9:51 p.m. January 9 after one man’s fiancee requested a welfare check.
Police not suspecting foul play
One man was found on the back porch frozen to death, whilst the other two were in the backyard.
“First and foremost, this case is 100% NOT being investigated as a homicide,” Captain Jake Becchina of the Kansas City Police Department told Fox News Digital.
“There have not been any arrests [or] charges, and no one is in custody. There are no specific threats or concerns for the surrounding community at this time,” Becchina said. “The resident at the house was cooperative with detectives the day the deceased were discovered.”
Neighbor Suzanne Reichart told FOX 4 that she had no idea the three men were imperiled across the street.
“It’s very scary because I heard nothing. I’m home most of the time, but I didn’t hear anything,” said Reichart.
“It’s kind of disturbing. It makes you wonder what’s going on,” Reichart continued. “But if we don’t know yet, could it have been CO? It got cold all of a sudden.”
