The holiday season is upon us, and though “Sunday Night Football” is not exactly going to be the best gift you receive this holiday season, it’s still football, Travis and Chiefs promises to play their best and give fans a win as gift
Fans are hoping to turn the Christmas Day game at Arrowhead into a Swiftmas affair
The Las Vegas Raiders vs Kansas City Chiefs Christmas Day game promises to be a significant one, and the question on everyone’s mind is whether Taylor Swift, girlfriend to Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, will be present to cheer on her boyfriend at Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis Kelce is also close to achieving another remarkable record-he is just 76 yards away from netting another 1,000-yard season
Fans are not only anticipating a stellar performance but also the chance to witness history in the making.
Kelce’s achievements, including surpassing 11,000 yards receiving in his career, underscore his prowess on the field for the Chiefs’ offense and add an extra layer of excitement to the game against the AFC West rivals.
Taylor Swift’s presence is always a spectacle
Amidst the speculation about Taylor Swift’s attendance, the pop sensation is currently on a break from her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Recent sightings at the Chiefs vs. Patriots game showcase her unwavering support for Kelce, adding an element of glamour to the game at Gillette Stadium.
However, her holiday plans remain undisclosed, leaving fans to wonder if she will extend her football tour to Arrowhead Stadium this Christmas.
Swift’s recent sighting in New York City on December 21st adds a layer of mystery to her potential attendance.
Although some assumed she might stay in Kansas City based on flight data, her departure from Electric Lady Studio in New York suggests she has the flexibility to catch a private flight back for the game.
While Donna Kelce, known for her dedication to attending her sons’ games, will be staying in Philadelphia for the holidays, the question of Taylor Swift’s presence in Kansas City to celebrate Christmas remains unanswered.
As Travis Kelce teased, this Christmas promises to be a fun one, and Chiefs fans are hopeful that Swift will add a touch of good luck as they cheer for victory on Christmas Day.
Travis Kelce was all smiles in Chiefs practice on Saturday as his team gears up for a crucial NFL game against Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.
The tight end was snapped smiling away in a picture shared by the team on X as they bid to maintain their return to winning ways after beating the Patriots last weekend.
Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift is expected to be there on Christmas Day to cheer Kelce on at Arrowhead Stadium, with the couple believed to be spending the holidays at his $6million mansion in Kansas City.
And it could really be a day to remember for the Chiefs hero as he closes in on another record for the season.
The 34-year-old is just 76 yards short of earning yet another 1,000 yard season.
And if he pulls it off, he’ll extend his record of having the most 1000+ yard seasons among tight ends with eight – doubling his advantage over the next-closest players.
That would also move him to a tie for eighth all-time among all pass catchers in NFL history
Kelce already passed 11,000 yards receiving in a career earlier this season – sitting at 11,268 total which puts him 38th all time and fourth among active players.
All this comes despite Kelce missing the first game of the season due to an injury.
If Kelce falls short on Monday, his next chance will also be at Arrowhead on New Year’s Eve when the Chiefs host the Bengals.
The Chiefs then round out the regular season on the road to the Chargers.
Speaking on the bonus episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason, released Friday, Kelce said he relishes having a game on Christmas Day.
‘I absolutely love it man. It’s magical. That’s one thing Christmas does – it brings people together and what better way to enjoy Christmas day than some football at Arrowhead baby?’ the tight end said.
‘That game is going to be electric. There’s a lot of people knowing their families are watching back home and we’re the first game on the tube that day.
‘So we’re fired up for it and know we’re going to have a big challenge before us. And we always like to say: it’s on us… we’re still working on being the best versions of ourselves on the field.’
