CELEBRITY
taylor swift and travis, kendall jenner and bad bunny; The Surprising Celebrity Couples of 2023 That Kept Us Believing Love’s Not Dead
Taylor Swift dating Travis Kelce was certainly not on our 2023 bingo card — but Us Weekly totally ships it.
Kelce first took his shot with the pop star in July, making her a homemade friendship bracelet with his phone number on it when he saw her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. While they never got to meet backstage, the football player detailed his rejection on his “New Heights” podcast, and Swift eventually heard his story.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” the 12-time Grammy winner told TIME in a December cover story. “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
They took their romance to the next level in September when Swift showed up to Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs home game. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told TIME. “We’re just proud of each other.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
After Swift’s first game day appearance at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium, she attended four more games in between her international Eras shows. Kelce then returned the favor in November, attending an Argentina concert that coincided with his bye week. During the gig, she notably swapped her “Karma” lyrics to give a shout-out to her “guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
Later that month, a source told Us that Swift and Kelce are “in love” — and have told each other just that.
Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny
Jenner was spotted making out with the rapper in February before their casual fling turned into something with long-term potential. They made their public debut as a couple during Paris Fashion Week in September, sitting in the front row of the Gucci show. Jenner and Bad Bunny later costarred in a travel-themed ad campaign for the fashion house.
Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet
Kendall’s younger sister, Kylie, first started spending time with Chalamet in April. It wasn’t until September that the pair finally took their relationship public. They were spotted kissing at both Beyoncé’s L.A. concert and the US Open in New York.
Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o
Jackson and Nyong’o both went through breakups in October, weeks before they were first spotted together at a Janelle Monáe concert. Us confirmed in December that the pair had started seeing one another.
“Joshua and Lupita have been dating for a very short while now. They’re focusing on keeping their relationship under the radar as much as possible,” a source told Us, noting that they are spending “as much time together as possible.”
